Climate Change Stall - Sheppey, June
We went to Leysdown to canvas opinion on Climate Change. We got over 100 people to answer our opinion poll and enjoyed chatting to the windswept shoppers. As you can see, it doesn't take a lot of effort or equipment to man a stall, but the more the merrier, so if you want to have a go please join us.
Big Wheel of Kent - Sittingbourne, June
Events 2004
The Big Wheel of Kent is an event to raise the profile of cycling as a form of transport. People converge on Canterbury from all directions, like the spokes of a wheel converge on the hub. Some of our members helped signpost the route, others manned the starting points. These pictures show Faversham, where Tesco generously supplied space for the cyclists to assemble and water for those tired people passing through from more distant starting points.
Faversham Hop Festival 2003
This event saw us joining forces with Canterbury FoE to run a very popular stall on recycling. We were also fortunate to be joined by a street theatre group from the Brighton area who put on a play about the evils of burning rubbish that could usefully and profitably be turned into new materials.
