About us.
Swale Friends of the Earth campaigns on local, national and international environmental issues. We are all volunteers, and our campaigns are funded solely by membership, individual donations and charitable grants. We always welcome new supporters and active members, so please join us!
The original Swale FoE was founded in 1996. We cover the same area as Swale Borough Council, including the Isle of Sheppey and the towns of Sittingbourne and Faversham and surrounding villages. This area includes a number of environmentally sensitive locations, including the North Kent Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the North Kent Marshes.
We normally meet at 8.00 pm on the first Monday of every month at the home of one of our members in Faversham, although we sometimes meet for other events such as summer barbecues and Christmas parties.
